Valeria ''Laura'' Richards

Valeria "Laura" Richards 89, 934 S. 10th Ave., Wausau, died Monday, July 22, 2002 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. Valeria was born April 28, 1913 in Rosholt, daughter of the late Ted and Christine (Palusczykwicz) Ostrowski. On October 12, 1935, she married Edward Richards Sr. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death on September 30, 1994. Laura was a homemaker. She was a charter member and very active in the Church of Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Laura enjoyed crocheting, fishing and tending her vegetable and flower gardens. Her fondest memories were spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include one daughter, Arlene (Ron) Bube, Wausau; four sons, Gerald (Patti) Richards, Goleta, CA, Edward Jr. (Sue) Richards and Victor Richards all of Wausau and Chuck (Nancy) Richards, Neenah; 13 grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; two brothers, Max (Alice) Ostrowski and Frank Ostrowski all of Wausau. The funeral mass will be held celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 25, 2002 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Entombment will be in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau and again from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Wausau.
