Tony Lenard, age 74, of Marathon, WI passed away at home, surrounded by his wife, son, and sister, along with a blanket of many prayer wishes from other family members and friends on July 4, 2026. Tony was born in Wausau, WI and raised on a dairy farm north of Edgar. He was the son of Regina and Phil Lenard. Tony married Mary Wilichowski on Dec. 18, 1976.
Tony was a successful building salesman, owning Advantage Building Systems. He sold over 3,000 buildings throughout his more than 30 year career. He took pride in his projects and made a lasting impression of honesty and integrity in working with his customers.
Tony had a passion for motorcycles, whether they were complete bikes or various parts in a box. He loved cycle racing and the thrill of the finish line. In the area, Tony was known as a “legend in the field of biking.” Tony was community-minded, being involved in projects at St. Mary’s, Marathon High School, and Town of Stettin. He was a gifted craftsman, inventor, and problem solver. If someone had a question, Tony had the answer. Tony’s son, Ryan, brought an immeasurable joy to his life. Tony never missed supporting Ryan with advice or sharing his 100% presence at music, academic, or sports events.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, and son, Ryan (Katie.) Tony’s grandson, AJ (Anthony) was named after his grandpa. He delighted Tony as only a 3 ½ year old child can.
