Timothy J. Lownik

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy James Lownick on August 7, 2025, surrounded by family and his best friend.

He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Tim was born December 15, 1985, in Milwaukee and spent his childhood in New Berlin, graduating from New Berlin West High School. Along with other honors he was elected king of his senior homecoming. Tim moved on to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a degree in psychology and later received his master’s degree from Mount Mary College. In 2014, he moved to Wausau and met and married Katrina Baumann.

Tim was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, and he passionately supported his beloved North Carolina Tar Heels. A true foodie at heart, he loved traveling to explore new restaurants, especially those featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan (Brostowitz) Lownik and his beloved dog, Sadie on August 5.

Survivors include his wife, Katrina; father, Steven, stepmother, Sharon; brother, Christopher (Anna); sister, Kaitlin (Evan); stepbrother, Joshua; stepsister, Ashley and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Lastly, his best friend from the 2nd grade until the end, Josh Servi.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
