Tim J. Rossi

Tim (Timmy) J. Rossi, 66, Merrill, passed from this life on December 10, 2021.

He was born November 30, 1955 in Wausau, son of the late Valerian (V.J.) and Joyce (Derbick) Rossi.

Tim graduated from Newman High School class of 1974. In the late 1970's Tim moved to Springfield, IL where he learned the trade of refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating from his brother, Terry. Tim and Terry worked together at Henson and Robinson for several years before Tim returned to God's country. Tim loved everything to do with family and nature. His passions included camping, fishing, gardening, making maple syrup, snowmobiling, four wheeling, bonfires, and was an excellent cook! Tim shared his extensive knowledge of air conditioning & heating (RSES) by teaching for numerous years at NTC (North Central Technical College). After his parents became ill he carried on the family tradition of hosting family and friends at Rossi's Retreat in Merrill.   He especially enjoyed time with his numerous nieces and nephews. Everyone was welcome. There were no strangers, only friends he hadn't met yet. Tim retired from France Sales and Service after 40 years where he was an installer. Tim could fix anything. He had a love for his Labrador dogs (Doobie, Lacy, and Kacy) whom he trained and loved with all his heart.

He is survived by his siblings, Judy Rossi of Summerfield, FL,  Deb Tellekson (Jim) of Wisconsin Rapids, Tom Rossi of Wausau, Mary Nordstrom (Al) of Marathon, Julie Manning (Jeff) of Wausau, sister in law Kate Rossi of Springfield IL, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Gary and Terry.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date to honor Tim’s legacy.  Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
