Tillie Zahrobsky

Tillie Zahrobsky 107, Edgar, died Sunday, May 8, 2005 at the Marshfield Care Center. She was born March 6, 1898 in Chicago, daughter of the late Benjamine and Anna (Oliverius) Novak. On October 8, 1923 she married Frank Zahrobsky in Chicago. He preceded her in death February 15, 1991. Tillie and Frank were in business in Cicero, Ill., prior to moving to Edgar in 1941, when they assumed operation of the Edgar Packing Plant. They enjoyed traveling extensively to Alaska and spent many winters in Florida. Besides traveling, Tillie enjoyed gardening. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private. Visitation will be Wednesday. May 11, 2005 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar. Burial will be Thursday in the Bohemian National Cemetery, Chicago. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice.
