Thomas P. Seidl

April 12, 1950 — December 7, 2025

Medford

Thomas P. Seidl, “Big Tom,” of Medford passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born April 12, 1950 in Marshfield, son of the late Paul and Lita (Polster) Seidl. On June 1, 1973, he married Kathleen Potaczek in Medford.

For many years, Tom logged millions of accident-free miles as a proud “super trucker.” On weekends, he often could be found at Z’s Sport Shop, fueling the fishing and hunting passions he shared with his boys and daughter. Outside of work, Tom found his greatest joy in the outdoors—fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a devoted supporter at his kids’ and grandkids’ sporting events and loved being on the water in his or his boys’ Ranger boats.

Tom proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Seidl, Eric (Rhonda) Seidl and their two children, Blaine and Eryka Seidl, Sarah (Tom) Lovlien, Bradley “Buzz” Seidl, and his two children, Sawyer and Savannah Seidl and Ryan (Sara Johnson) Seidl and their two children, Jake and Ruby Seidl, his siblings, Cindy (Mary) Ampe, Bill (Linda) Seidl, Steve (Sandra) Seidl and Barb Seidl and numerous nieces and nephews.

At Tom’s request, there will be no formal services. The family will be holding a private memorialization in his memory at a later date, and they deeply appreciate your thoughts and support during this time.

“FISH ON!”
