Thomas A. Hollander, 57, Wausau, died Tuesday May 3, 2011 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau. He was born August 10, 1953, in Wausau, son of Dolores (Neihold) Hollander, Wausau and the late Harold T. Hollander. On September 8, 1978, he married Cynthia Lang at Marathon. She survives. Thomas had been employed as Rosemurgy Ford in building maintenance. Through the years, he had worked as an instructor with the American Red Cross, served as a volunteer for First Aid at various civic events in Wausau, was a volunteer with the Granite Peak Ski Patrol and was a member of the National Ski Patrol. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Hollander, Wausau, two children, Anthony (Jennifer) Hollander, Wausau, Teri (Brian) Neitzel, Weston, three grandchildren, Makenzie and Taylor Hollander and Claira Neitzel, his mother, Dolores Hollander, Wausau, siblings, Harold Hollander Jr., Circle Pines, Minn., James Hollander, Stratford, Patricia (Jon) Russell, Oklahoma City, Okla., Susan (Robert) Torreano, Coon Rapids, Minn. nieces and nephews, as well as his pets, Sanders and Miss Kitty. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold. The memorial mass will be 7:00 p.m. Friday May 6, 2011 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Gregory Michaud will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Granite Peak Ski Patrol Training Fund. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
