Theodore W. Ulrich

Theodore "Ted" Ulrich 78, Wausau died Thursday, November 29, 2012 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau. He was born October 4, 1934 in Wausau, son of the late William and Clara (Dettmering) Ulrich. On June 29, 1963 he married Ramona Fellbaum at Zion Lutheran Church, town of Rib Falls. She survives. For more than 27 years Ted was a dryer operator at Foremost Farms, Rothschild. Some of his favorite pastimes included fishing, hunting, taking trips to Canada, watching the Green Bay Packers and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ted most recently fulfilled two of his lifelong dreams. His first was going to a Milwaukee Brewer game, which took place this summer and second was being part of the Never Forgotten Honor Flight trip to Washington this summer which Ted was part of with his fellow veterans. Ted proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 until 1955 during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Ramona Ulrich, Wausau, his children, Keith (Deb) Ulrich, Waupaca, Sandra (Marvin) Klang, Sun Prairie, Beth (Rob) Thorn, Superior and Shelley (Steve) Hein, Chippewa Falls, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Rev. Gary Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau where full military honors will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post #388, Wausau. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
