Theodore "Ted" Reynolds

Theodore "Ted" Reynolds, 79, Wausau died Thursday, April 4, 2013 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born December 5, 1933 in Marshfield, son of the late Fred and Mary (Stelzel) Reynolds. On October 22, 1956 he married Leurelle Steger at St. John Catholic Church, Marshfield. She survives. Ted had been employed as a cheese maker at Lemke Cheese in Wausau and then was employed in the finishing room at Wausau Papers in Brokaw until the time of his retirement. Through the years, Ted was an active member at the Church of St. Anne as a volunteer, member of the St. Thomas More Club, the former Holy Name Society and Dartball League member. Among his favorite things to do were woodworking, fishing, hunting and enjoying the Packers and Brewers. Survivors include his wife, Leurelle Reynolds, Wausau, two sons, David (Kathy) Reynolds, Dublin, Ohio, Philip (Lori Kramer) Reynolds, Wausau, one daughter, Lisa (Wayne) Reynolds-Smith, Kronenwetter, four grandchildren, Brad (Kelly) Reynolds, Samantha Reynolds, Lindsey Reynolds and Marissa Reynolds, one great grandson, Jaxson Reynolds and four siblings, Gladys Zettler, Loyal, Jim (Leora) Reynolds, Tom (Elayne) Reynolds, all of Dorchester and Maryanne (Joe) Meyer, Medford. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Paul and one grandson, Brett "B.J." Reynolds. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. The Rev. Jeffrey Hennes will preside. Burial will be in the Dorchester Cemetery, Dorchester. Friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the Sixth Street funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to The Church of St. Anne or Newman Catholic Schools.
