Theodore "Ted" Pudelko, 82, 312 Schmidt Avenue, Rothschild, died Thursday, September 5, 2002 at his home under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
Ted was born January 10, 1920 in Kronenwetter, son of the late Teofil and Mary (Kedzior) Pudelko. He married Esther Halminiak on August 28, 1948 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives. Ted and Esther were charter members of St. Mark Catholic Church, Rothschild.
Ted worked at Weyerhaeuser Paper Mill for 42 years. He was a veteran of the US Army serving his country during World War II. Ted was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post #388 and the American Legion Post #492 in Rothschild and also a member of Amvets. He was a 55-year member of the Moose Lodge #1576 where he received their highest degree, "Pilgrim". Gardening, yardwork, fishing, bowling were among his favorite things to do. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Besides his wife Esther he is survived by one son David (Jackie) Pudelko, Rothschild, and their children, Joshua, Jessica and Ryan; one daughter Constance (Jim Arvanites) Pudelko Hatley,and her son Jeremiah (Amy) Johnson, Fort Riley, Kansas; mother-in-law, Annie Zurawski; three sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers and one grandson, Chad Johnson.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2002 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Rothschild. The Rev. Allan Slowiak will preside. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in Ted's name.
