Theodore J. Potaczek

Theodore J. Potaczek 55, 225 Hwy 97, Athens, died Thursday, October 4, 2001 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield. Ted was born November 6, 1945 in Stanley, son of Henry Potaczek, Jim Falls, Wisconsin and the late Mary (Pogodzinski) Potaczek. He married Carol Gilbertson December 14, 1981 in Freeport, Illinois. She survives. Ted was the owner and operator of Potaczek Scrap Company, Athens since 1967. Survivors besides his wife, Carol Potaczek, Athens and his father, Henry Potaczek, Jim Falls, Wisconsin, include his children, Aaron, Michele and Melissa Potaczek, all at home, one brother, John Potaczek, Mosinee, one sister Carol (Bob) Vach, Jim Falls, Wisconsin, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his mother, Ted was preceded in death by 2 half-sisters, Cheryl and Mary. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2001 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil service 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Athens funeral home.
