Thelma L. Sullivan

Thelma L. Sullivan, 95, Weston, died Saturday July 2, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Interim Hospice and Palliative Care. She was born June 16, 1921, in Tomahawk, daughter of the late Harry and Ida (Reimer) Jacobsen. Thelma was a parachute rigger, serving as a SPAR in the US Coast Guard during World War II. She left the Coast Guard to marry Robert "Sully" Sullivan and start her family. Thelma was the kindest and most giving person. She wanted the best for her "10 perfect children" as she referred to them. She loved life and spending time with her family. Among her favorite things to do were volunteer work and traveling with family and friends. Survivors include nine of her ten children; Bob Sullivan Jr., Patty (Dave) Knapp, Carol Wesolowski, Cathy Kujawa, John "Jack" (Shannon) Sullivan, Sharon Sullivan, Jim (Lynn) Sullivan, Barb Mesenberg, Colleen "Kelly" (Tom) Rueger; 21 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, her only sister, Lorraine Klug, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ida Jacobsen, husband, Robert "Sully" Sullivan, a son, Dan'l Sullivan, two sons-in-law, Stanley "Jr." Wesolowski and Walter "Wally" Kujawa. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 7, 2016 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Weston. Rev. Greg Bohren will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
