Teresa M. Podruch

Teresa "Terri" Podruch 53, 627 Rovalia Drive, Verona, WI 53593, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday March 27, 2008. She was born March 2, 1955 in Wausau, daughter of Lorraine (Rosner) Murkowski, Schofield and the late Roman Murkowski. She was a graduate of Newman High School and the UW Madison with a degree in Journalism. On December 10, 1977, she was united in Marriage to Paul L. Podruch in Madison. He survives. From 1984 until 2001, Terri had been employed with the Kohler Company having worked her way to Director of Employee Benefits. She enjoyed music, was an avid reader and hockey fan and loved to travel. She was the key communicator and the glue that kept her family together and it was these traits that earned her the nickname "AT & T Terri". Survivors include her husband, Paul L. Podruch DDS, Verona, a son, Mick Podruch, at home, her mother, Lorraine Murkowski, Schofield, her siblings, Judy (Tom) Kerkman, Salem, Mary (Warren) Docherty, Plymouth, Minn., Jerry (Bonnie) Murkowski, Chanhassen, Minn., Frank Murkowski, Saline, Mich., Roman (Barbe) Murkowski, Rib Mountain, Gary (Colleen) Murkowski, New Berlin, Allen (Lisa) Murkowski, Schofield, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Roman Murkowski, siblings, Jerome, Joseph, Gerrilyn and George and a sister-in-law, Diana Murkowski. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday April 1, 2008 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
