Tammy Lynn Streit

Tammy Lynn Streit, 63 of Edgar, passed away at her home on Friday, July 24, 2026 with her husband, Jim by her side.

She was born March 12, 1963 in Ravenna, Ohio, daughter of the late Delores Grimmer. On July 13, 2002, she was united in marriage to James “Jim” Streit at St. John Lutheran Church-High Steeple in Edgar, who survives.

Throughout her life, Tammy was a cook and bartender for various restaurants. She worked as a cook and kitchen manager for the St. Anthony Retreat Center in Marathon for many years and most recently for Smokey’s Bar & Grill in Abbotsford as a cook.

Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, canning and most of all, loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Jim; four daughters, Cynthia (Richard Meerstein), Sandy Collins-Sutton, Samantha (Nathan Taves) and Sabrina Wert; 11 grandchildren, Kollin (Lorena) Liedberg, Kaleb Liedberg, Kaiden Liedberg, Nicholas Szymanski, Johnathon Szymanski, Daniel Sutton, Caroline Sutton, Nathan Taves Jr., Sterling Taves, Olivia Wert and Makena Wert; one great-grandson, Oliver Liedberg; two brothers, Dr. James (Carolyn) Stutts and Clyde (Suzy) Stutts; one sister, Tammy Lynn Dalhaus; her father-in-law, Walter Streit; one brother-in-law, Ted (Jackie) Streit; five sisters-in-law, Beth Stutts, Mary Kohlbeck, Susan (Mike) Orndahl, Darlene (Jane) Miller and Donna (Patty) Grant; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Joanne Wagner and Wayne Stutts and mother-in-law, Margene Streit.

A celebration of Tammy’s life will be held with family and friends at a later date.
