Tammy L. Gass

Tammy L. Gass, 44, Wausau, died May 23, 2012 as the result of a biking accident. She was born December 23, 1967 in Wausau, daughter of Pat and Delphine (Cherek) Marceille. On June 1, 1996 she married Gregg Bednorski at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death on September 18, 2008. On January 19, 2012 she married Tim Gass at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Wausau. He survives. Tammy was born and raised on a farm outside Wausau. She was a 1986 graduate of D.C. Everest High School. She obtained her Associates Degree and worked for Nationwide Insurance for over 20 years in pension administration. She married Gregg Bednorski in 1996. Together they enjoyed bicycling, cross country skiing and spending time with their two beautiful children Adam and Isabelle. She tragically lost Gregg in a cycling accident in September 2008. Two years later she fell in love with Tim Gass, a childhood friend who had lost his wife in a tragic accident. Together they found love and happiness. They married in January 2012. Tammy cherished the role of mother to her children and embraced Tim's children Brent and Chet as her own. Together they spent time at their new cabin up North, fishing, and ATV'ing. She also got the entire family excited about biking, which truly was her passion. Survivors include her husband, Tim, Wausau; children, Isabelle and Adam Bednorski, at home; step-sons, Brent Gass, at home, and Chet Gass, Florida; her parents, Pat and Delphine Marceille, Schofield; siblings, Wendy (Randy) Rice, Roanoke, Texas, Dean (Patty) Marceille, Wausau, Curt (Jill) Marceille, Evergreen Park, Illinois, Tim (Kelly) Marceille, Wausau, Jenny (Jeff) Mucksavage, Oak Lawn, Illinois, and Heather (Duane) Lopriore, North Granby, Connecticut, many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 3200 North Mountain Road, Wausau. Rev. Craig Swenson will officiate. Burial will be in Mosinee Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau and again on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
