Sylvia D. Trantow

Sylvia D. Trantow, 90, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill. She was born April 25, 1924 in Wausau, daughter of the late John and Laura (Seefeldt) Jablonski. On December 15, 1945 she married Elroy Trantow. He preceded her in death on December 22, 2013. In her younger years, Sylvia enjoyed gardening, going out to eat and shopping. She was a very caring, loving person and was always willing to help others in need. Survivors include her children, Cheryl (Russell) Ristau, John Trantow, Wayne "Skip" (Toni Parque) Trantow, Mark Trantow, Jay (Jenny) Trantow and Robin (Melissa) Trantow; grandchildren, Tim (Lora Brooker) Ristau, Jenny (Mark) Price, Mercedes and Jacob Trantow, Sarah and Garyt Trantow, Alicia (Matt) Richmond, Beth and Becky Eldred and Tony Schaeffer; step-grandchildren, Jake and Luckas Darelius; great-grandchildren, Emily, Madelyn and Matthew Price; brother, Jack (Milly) Jablonski and sister, Mary Ann (Jerry) Rader. Besides her parents and husband, Elroy, she was preceded in death by infant brother, Glen Roger and brother, George Jablonski. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2014 at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill. Chaplain Carol Mancl will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at Bell Tower Residence. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
