Sylvia A. Rogan, Weston, formerly of Marathon died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston.
She was born January 22, 1918 in the town of Cassel, daughter of the late Henry and Emma (Heilman) Schilling. On September 14, 1940 she married John Rogan at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. He preceded her in death on November 2, 1992.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Ron) Bornbach, Rozellville, 11 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, one brother, Francis (Rosalie) Schilling, Eau Claire, one daughter-in-law, Ruth Rogan, Weston, one brother-in-law, Dick Seubert, Rozellville, one sister-in-law, Betty Rogan, Brookfield and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons, John Rogan Jr. and Charles Rogan, one daughter Sharon Nikolai, one granddaughter, Michele LaPorte, two brothers, Ralph and Marvin Schilling and four sisters, Lillian Frey, Elda McHugh, Celine Seubert and Hilda Phillip.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Oratory, 325 Grand Avenue, Wausau. The Rev. Aaron Huberfeld will preside. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
