Sylvia M. Krautkramer, 85, Marathon, entered into eternal life Sunday January 1, 2017 at Aspirus Hospice House under the care of her loving family.
She was born February 22, 1931, in the town of Cassel, daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Szymanski) Wieloch. On September 6, 1954, she married Joseph "Joe" Krautkramer at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cassel. He preceded her in death May 15, 2008.
After their marriage, Joe and Sylvia lived in Milwaukee for a few years until they purchased a farm in the town of Marathon. They were dairy and ginseng farmers until the time of their retirement. Sylvia enjoyed her vegetable and flowers gardens. She will be remembered for her willingness to always help others in need. Family activities were always a high priority for Sylvia and she enjoyed the time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. As a woman of great faith, Sylvia placed a high priority on church and family prayer.
Survivors include her children, Jeanne Grzesiak, Marathon, Carol (Kevin) Salber, Marathon, Dan (Mary Lou) Krautkramer, Marathon, Dorrie (Elton) Martyn, Marathon, Shirley (Ron) Huebsch, Wausau and Steve (Becky) Krautkramer, Marathon, 15 grandchildren, Ryan, Taylor, Ben, Angie, Dusty, Tyler, Megan, Mandy, Rusty, Jimmy, Kelly, Samantha, Joey, Mackenzie and Hunter; five great grandchildren, Bridget, Grant, Addison, Reece and Leo; three sisters, Adeline (Henry) Lang, Marathon, Eleanor Tucek, Mosinee, MaryAnn (Wally) Toboyek, Kenosha; four brothers, Marcell (Janice) Wieloch, Marty (Lavonne) Wieloch, both of Mosinee, Dennis (Karen) Wieloch, Texas, Dallis (Mary) Wieloch, Harrison Hills; three sisters-in-law, Ceil Zins and Marie Gau, both of Wausau and Irene Cihlar, Marathon; three brothers-in-law, Lyle Krautkramer, Marathon, Ronnie Osterbrink, Mosinee and Earl Hoffmann, Illinois, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Mitch Grzesiak, two sisters, Ethel Hoffmann and Alexia Osterbrink and In-laws, Clarence/Delores Rader, Oscar/Florence Witberler, Emil Zins, LeRoy Krautkramer, Carl/Mary Krautkramer, Ervin Cihlar, Roman Gau Sr., Earl Larrabee, Joel Tucek and Alois/Lillian Krautkramer.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday January 5, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home Marathon and again on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services in care of the family.
