Sylva M. Wedepohl

Sylva Marie Wedepohl, 96, died on November 20, 2015 at Benedictine Living Community, peacefully surrounded by her family. Sylva was born on October 18, 1919, in Rocklyn Washington, daughter of the late Harvey & Marie (Becker) Hescock. On April 18, 1954, she married Milfred Wedepohl in Marathon County, who preceded her in death. Prior to her retirement she was an elementary school teacher in the Wausau area school district retiring from Riverview Elementary School. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, reading, loved to spend time with her family and caring for her animals. Sylva was a founding member of the Texas Ramblers 4-H club and was also active with 50/50 Homemakers Club. She attended St .Paul's Lutheran and was involved with the Ladies Aid. Survivors include her four children, John (Arlene) Londerville, Wausau, Susan (Ron Harvey) Jensen, Wausau, Paul (Linda) Londerville, Neenah, James (Marilyn) Londerville, Merrill, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband's Warren Londerville and Milfred Wedepohl and also a grandson Michael Londerville. A Memorial Gathering will be Wednesday day November 25, 2015 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Peterson Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street Wausau.
