Susan C. "Susie" Parlier
49, Madison, formerly of Wausau, died Tuesday August 16, 2005 at her home.
She was born August 27, 1955 in Wausau, daughter of Charles Rex Parlier, Wausau, and the late Violegene (Lepak) Parlier. Susie was born and raised in Wausau, lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico for almost 30 years before moving to Madison in June of 2004. She was employed as a Field service Engineer for Bayer Health care. She was a veteran of the US Air Force.
Susie was a very loving daughter who helped care for her aging parents and was also a great and caring sister, Aunt, friend and neighbor. She was always asking about everyone else and trying to help others. Her greatest enjoyments in life were gardening, horseback riding, singing in womens choirs, mushroom hunting and caring for her canine and feline companions. Always up for a game of cribbage, Susie will be remembered as a character, ever ready for a laugh. She will be dearly missed by family, friends, co-workers and her customers.
Susie is survived by her father, Charles Rex Parlier, Wausau, five brothers and three sisters and their families; John "Jack" (Charlene) Parlier and their children, Lee, Scott (Tracey) and Eric (Michelle) Parlier, all of Wausau; Sharon (Dennis) Olmstead and Sharon's son, Tony Geier, all of Appleton; Barry (Pam) Parlier and their children, Jessica (Tim) Klopstein and Megan Parlier, all of Wausau; Daniel (Barb) Parlier, Marathon and their children, Dana (Eric) Pease, Wausau, Rachel (Shannon) Butalla, Waukesha and Lynsey Parlier, Marathon; Ann Marie (Kirt) Schmidt, Wausau, and their children, Angela (Phil) Mckeown, Madison, Aimee and Kay Allyson Schmidt, Wausau; Bruce (Jodean) Parlier and their children, Ben, Marie and Diedre Parlier, all of New Berlin; Julie (Jim) Valdes, and their children, Nathan and Jennifer Valdes, all of West Bend; Matthew (Sarah) Parlier and their children, John, Charlie, Joseph, Grace and Mary Parlier, all of Milwaukee, and her canine companion, King Arthur, as well as many friends from Albuquerque, Madison, Womonsong Choir and Wausau friends.
Besides her mother, Violegene C. Parlier, Susie was preceded in death by a niece, Allyson Margarete Schmidt, nephew, Peter Parlier and life long friend, Cindy Smith.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday August 21, 2005 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Sister Maureen "Mo" McDonnell, O.P. of Madison will officiate. Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the Sixth Street funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
