Steven Thao

Steven Charlie Thao 24, Wausau, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 3, 2007. He was born in Selma, Alabama on June 11, 1983, son of Pang Ge Thao and May Chou Chang. Steven enlisted in 2003 with the National Guard and proudly served his country in Iraq. Though he was young he always lived his life to the fullest and accomplished many goals. Throughout Steven's life, he was a giving and generous person. He was patient and kind. He was a loving person and a proud uncle. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. A great man is defined by the lasting impressions indented on the souls of those who are left behind. Survivors include his mother, May C. Chang, Wausau; seven brothers: Shawn (Pao) Thao, Wausau, Pong (Ko Yang) Thao, Peter Per (Tru Hang) Thao, both of Minn., Jonathan (Mary Vang) Thao, Paul (Stephanie Robinson) Thao, James Mark (Mai Xue Moua) Thao, and David Yee, all from Wausau; two sisters: Pang Foua (Vang Xiong) Thao, Minn. and Daisy Choua (Michael Yang) Thao, North Carolina; further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends He was preceded in death by his father, Pang Ge Thao. Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2007 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Burial will be in Trinity Ev. Lutheran Cemetery with full military honors. Friends may call on Friday, July 13, 2007 from 5 pm until 10 pm, on Saturday, July 14, 2007 from 9 am until 12 am, on Sunday, July 15, 2007 from 9 am until 10 pm, on Monday July 16, 2007 from 8 am until the time of services at the funeral home.
