Stephen J. Paul

Stephen J. Paul 57, Wausau, died January 27, 2003 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. He was born March 28, 1945 in Yankton, South Dakota, son of the late Stephen and Elsie (Uherka) Paul. On February 4, 1967, he married Norma Schweitzer in Adrian, Minnesota. She preceded him in death on May 20, 1977. He then married Sheree Norton on June 16, 1979. She survives. Steve had a 35-year career with Industrial Mineral Product Division of 3M Company and recently as a plant manager for Wausau roofing granule plant. He enjoyed playing golf, watching the Minnesota Vikings and spending time at the family cabin in Lac Du Flambeau. Besides his wife Sheree, include two sons, Jeff (Heidi) Paul, New Richmond and Stephen Paul III, Wausau; two grandchildren, Jammie & Jeffrey; three brothers, Vern (Rosie) Paul, Bloomington, Minnesota, Don (Susan) Paul, Tyndall, South Dakota and Ken (Annie) Paul, Clearfield, Utah; his in-laws, Harold & Rita Norton, Wausau. Memorial visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2003 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau. Steve had a love for animals, especially his late dog, Max, and his cats, Gizmo & Bitty, so in lieu of flowers, you may wish to donate to the Marathon County Humane Society in Steve's name. The family would like to thank Dr. Ian Swift & Dr. Stephen Saeger and staff and Dr. Ahuja and Dr. Barton and the staff of the UW Cancer Center and Wausau Hospital Center for their care and support.
