Stephen "Buck" Kapinsky Jr.
79, Wausau, died Thursday, March 23, 2006 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston.
He was born September 16, 1926 in Wausau, son of the late Stephen Sr. and Anna (Jastinski) Kapinsky. On August 20, 1949, he married Florence Smith at St. James Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives.
Steve retired from James River Company in 1988 after a career of 42 years. Among his many interests, he enjoyed fishing, playing cards, gardening, watching the Brewers and Packers and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Florence, Wausau; one son, Dave (Jean) Kapinsky, Wausau; one granddaughter, Sheila (John) Quinette, Denver, Colo.; two great grandchildren, Hailey and Austin; and his father-in-law, Glen Smith, Wausau.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Jamie Curley; two sons-in-law, Randy Weisenberger and Michael Curley; one brother, Earl Kapinsky; one infant brother, Marvin Kapinsky; and two sisters, Grace Dalsky and Florence Sattler.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2006 at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
