Stephanie E. Walsh

Stephanie E. Walsh 63, R21658 Hilltop Road, Hatley, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at her home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born March 25, 1943 in Chicago, daughter of the late Francis and Irene (Niggemann) Galloy. On January 18, 1964 she married Daniel Walsh in Hazelcrest, Illinois. He survives. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, handcrafts, fishing, traveling and participating in 5K walk races. Stephanie also taught CCD for special needs children at The Church of St. Anne for 15 years. Above all things in life she cherished the time that she spent with her family and friends. Survivors besides her husband, Daniel Walsh, Hatley, include her children Timothy (Becky) Walsh, Weston, Tracy (Dan) Wilson, Grayslake, Ill., Mike (Jody) Walsh, Stevens Point and Tricia (Dan) Smith, Chicago, eight grandchildren, one sister, Gail (Bill) Dreyer, Gainsville, Texas, two brothers, Tim (Kathy) Galloy, Tomahawk and Mike (Carole) Galloy, Eau Claire along with many nieces and nephews. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2006 at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. The Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Rib Lake. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau and again on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the Stewart Avenue funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
