Stanley C. Mizwinski

October 25, 1912 — March 3, 2004

Stanley C. Mizwinski, 91, Schofield, died Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston. He was born October 25, 1912 in Wausau, son of the late Cazmier and Mary (Midlikowski) Mizwinski. On August 20, 1932 he married Margaret Jaecks. She preceded him in death on November 8, 1973. In May of 1978 he married Marguerite Bloecher. She preceded him in death. Stanley had been employed for over 40 years at the former American Can Corporation, Wausau as a pressman retiring in 1975. He enjoyed making bird feeders and bird houses as well as reading, gardening, bowling and restoring antique clocks. Stan was a amateur astronomer who ground prisms and built his own reflector and refractor telescopes. Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Wisneski, Schofield; three granddaughters, Mary Wisneski, Milwaukee, Judy Kramer, Schofield, Caroline (John) Wochos, Wausau; one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Bigelow, Minnesota and a great - great grandson, Logan, Minnesota. He is further survived by his nieces and nephews, MaryAnn (Greg Zajackowski) Mizwinski, Wausau, Barbara Wilkinson, Michigan, Edwin Jaecks, Jr., N.M., Pearl (Wallace) Williamson, William Kositzke, all of Wausau;cousins, Ann Schweigel, Mosinee and John and Helen Wendorski; one step-daughter, Joyce (Joseph) Kastner, Oklahoma; two step great grandsons, John (Sandy) Bloecher and William (Donna) Bloecher, all of Wausau; and step great-great granddaughters, Colleen, Amanda and Leanne Bloecher. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Margaret and his wife Marguerite, a grandson Michael Wisneski in 1985, one niece Shirley Barrick and two brothers, Infant Charles Mizwinski and Leonard Mizwinski. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated noon Saturday, March 6, 2004 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Friday from 5;00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary service Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the Sixth Street funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. Special thanks to MaryAnn Mizwinski and her husband Greg Zajackowski for the special, loving care and companionship given to Stanley, especially during the last years of his life.
