Stanley F. Fenske, 74, Weston, died on his 74th birthday, Friday, April 22, 2016 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, surrounded by his family at his home.
He was born April 22, 1942 in Shawano County, son of the late Leland and Ida (Bierman) Fenske. On June 22, 1968 he married Mary Biel at Holy Name Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives.
Stanley was a lifelong dairy farmer in the town of Weston. Besides farming he worked at Bates Body Shop, Murray Machinery and Central Wisconsin Body and Hoist.
Some of his favorite pastimes included deer hunting, making deer sausage, trapping, going out west hunting, shooting trap at the Weston Trap Club and fishing. Stanley enjoyed working on machinery around the farm and he loved to weld. He had the talent to create many one of a kind things; like his hand made wood splitter and his custom can crusher as well as many other famous inventions. Stanley enjoyed volunteering at Key of Life in Weston where he especially enjoyed shoveling snow.
Stanley truly enjoyed St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church. There he was an active volunteer and took great pride in ushering and passing out the bulletins. He always felt honored when he was able to carry the offering plate to the front of church. Stanley had a great passion for helping anyone in a time of need and will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Fenske, Weston, his children, Darlene Wiesneski-Fenske, Kronenwetter and Timothy Fenske, Weston, one brother, Victor (Doris) Fenske, Phoenix, Arizona and nieces and nephews and his companion, Snoopy.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Art.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, 1351 S. Grand Avenue, Schofield. The Rev. Walter Davidson and Rev. Jeffrey Mahnke will officiate. Burial will be in Rib Falls Methodist Cemetery, town of Rib Falls. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
