Stanley J. Bochanyin
75, 5133 County Road E, Athens, died Saturday August 18, 2001, at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield.
He was born January 23, 1926 in the Town of Holton, son of the late John and Elida (Hall) Bochanyin.
Stanley was an engineer for the Chicago Bridge & Iron Company until the time of his retirement and then a instructor for the Operating Engineering School in Coloma, WI.
He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #139, life member National Rifle Association, National & WI Trappers Association, and the International Ammunitions Association. Stanley was an avid trapper, enjoyed working with metal and wood, cross word puzzles, taking leisure travels and informational reading.
He was a Veteran of the US Navy and a life member of Andrew J. Sutter Post #8527 Veteran of Foreign Wars, Athens.
Survivors include 4 daughters, Linda Reynolds, Marathon, Luanne (Johnny) Mears, Ella Bel, Ga, Lauri Wisnewski, Dorchester, Lois (Wayne) Klimpke, Milan; 2 sons, Lee Bochanyin, Mosinee and Larry Bochanyin, Dorchester; 12 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Betty (Jack) White, Medinah, Ill, Joanne (Cliff) Priest, Elgin, Ill, Karen (Larry) Fleming, Crystal Lake, Ill; 3 brothers, Curtis Bochanyin, Pendleton, Ore. and Twins, Douglas (Rebba) Wysocki, Lincoln, Neb and Donald (Carol) Wysocki, Pendleton, Ore.
The funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 23, 2001 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens. Rev. Douglas Helling will officiate. Burial will be in Milan Cemetery where the Merrill VFW will conduct full military honors. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens. There will be a military memorial services at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening conducted by the Andrew J. Sutter Post #8527 Veteran of Foreign Wars, Athens.
In lieu of flowers memorials may directed to the National Audubon Society, American Red Cross or any chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
