Sophie E. Wilk

Sophie E. Wilk, 91, Schofield, died Sunday, August 28, 2016 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. She was born April 29, 1925 in Wisconsin, daughter of the late Kazmer and Michalina (Danczek) Konwinski. On November 13, 1948 she married Anthony Wilk. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1983. Sophie was a homemaker who enjoyed occasional trips to the casino and playing bingo. Survivors include her children, Ken (Cindy) Wilk, Weston and Carol (Donald) Clark, Weston; grandchildren, Kim (Scott) Regel, Florida, Corey (Katrina) Clark, Weston, Scott (Penny Cole) Clark, Schofield, Todd Wilk, Ringle and Tina (Michael) Eaton, Green Bay; 10 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Florence (Edward) Tryba, Adeline (Joe) Tryba and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gene and six sisters and their husbands: Emma (Leo) Schuttenberg, Martha (Edward) Garski, Victoria Konwinski, Katherine Konwinski (Ted) Walker, Frances (Carl) Embry and Valerie (Gary) Hess. Funeral services will be Noon on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Greg Bohren will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
