Sophie H. Ross

Sophie H. Ross 89, 2400 Marshall St., Wausau, died Friday October 1, 2004 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. She was born May 18, 1915 in Wausau, daughter of the late Ignatius and Anastasia (Podlaszdwski) Magrecki. On November 21, 1936 she married Ben D. Ross in Wausau. He preceded her in death January 4, 1963. Sophie was a homemaker. Survivors include two sons, Benjamin D. Ross Jr., Spokane, Wash., William R. (Shirley) Ross, Wausau, a daughter, Maryellen J. Ross, Wausau, ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Weds. October 6, 2004 at St. Michael Cemetery, Wausau. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
