Sophia Mary Frahm

Sophia M. Frahm, 88, 424 Elm Street, Athens, died Sunday, August 11, 2002 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield. Sophia was born December 27, 1913, in Athens, daughter of the late Frederick and Rose (Klawinski) Niewolny. She married LeRoy Frahm April 10, 1937 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. He survives. Sophia worked for Marathon Cheese in both Marathon and Medford. She enjoyed baking, gardening and ceramics. Most of all she adored her family. Besides her husband, LeRoy, she is survived by one daughter, Patricia Woellner, Austin, TX; one son, Gary (Maxine) Frahm, Wausau; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; four sisters, Theresa Maier, Wausau, Margaret Kremsreiter, Athens, Delores Westfall, Hamburg, Gloria (Harry) Taghoferri, West Bend, Indiana; three brothers, Clarence (Ethel) Niewolny, Wausau, Walter (Emma Jean) Niewolny, Wausau, George (Patricia) Niewolny, Wausau. Besides his parents he preceded in death by one son, Ervin; one sister, Merceda Zawacki; two brothers, Frank and John. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, August 15, 2002 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. The Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Friends may call from 10 a.m., Thursday until the time of services, all at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens is in charge of the arrangements.
