Solomon Michael Remus, 31, of Wausau, died at home on March 11, 2008.
Solomon was born on November 14, 1976 in Chippewa Falls, son of Stevie Anderson (Remus) and Michael Peterson. He attended schools in Milton, Janesville and Stevens Point. Solomon had many interests and was passionate about social justice, politics, music and love; he was a musician and a poet. Solomon was one of the many for whom addiction is a more potent draw than is health, although his cause of death was technically due to complications from the diabetes he battled his entire adult life.
Solomon is survived by Paul Remer and Travis Michelson, as well as all the other friends who were his chosen family. He is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Stevie and Allan Anderson of Janesville, his dad, Ted Rude of Stevens Point, the little sister he adored, Delany Anderson, the baby brother who idolized him, Mandela Anderson, both of Janesville, his grandparents, Norman and Audrey Klocke-Heintz of Yuma AZ, his cousins, Jameson and Jessica Lulloff of Owen, as well as Aunts and Uncles.
A benefit and memorial will be held from 7pm till 10 pm on Friday, April 25th at Coral Lanes, 1025 E. Grand Ave., in Rothschild. Special thanks to Peterson-Kraemer Funeral home of Wausau and especially to Amy Atkinson for her attention and assistance.
