Sigrid Schwocho

Sigrid Schwocho 94, 1297 Co. Hwy A, Athens, died Friday, December 7, 2001 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born October 17, 1907 in Germany, daughter of the late Karl and Marie (Goertz) Butter. On October 29, 1929, she married William Frederic Schwocho. He preceded her in death December 29, 1973. Sigrid was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, flowers and jigsaw puzzles. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Jim) Zunker, Town of Hamburg; Seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by Three daughters, Rita Schwocho, Shirley Burish and Cheryl Mootz; one son, Bill Schwocho. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2001 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau. Rev. Stephen C. Russell will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. Monday until the time of services at the Stewart Ave. funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Grace United Church of Christ, Wausau.
