Shirley Mae Windorski, 80, Wausau, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2015 at Aspirus Hospice House.
She was born May 15, 1935 in Wausau to the late Ferdinand and Helen (Roe) Utecht. She met the love of her life, Clarence, while babysitting his nieces and nephews. Their love lasted for 50 great years together before Clarence passed away.
Among Shirley's favorite pastimes were spending time with her family, baking, crocheting and reading books.
Shirley is survived by nine children, Pat (George "Toby") Desnoyer, Merrill and their children Donna, Michelle, Mike and Dan, Mike Windorski, Wausau, Karen (Kurt) Klein, Athens and their children Kyle and Kelli, Sue (Wayne) Pakonen, Merrill and their children Jaime, Jacque and Joe, Gary (Teri) Windorski, Wausau, Joe (Char) Windorski, Weston and their children Jason, Tracy and Shane, John (Rochelle) Windorski, Kronenwetter, Bob (Jill) Windorski, Rothschild and their children Ross and Jenna, Gerri (Mark) Gore, Marathon and their children Meghan, Morgan and Logan; 7 great-grandchildren, Billy, Emma, Evan, Elias, Austin, Kyler and Taylor Jo; one great-great-granddaughter, McKinnley; two brothers, Robert (Doris) Utecht, Poughkeepsie, NY and David ((Pearletta) Utecht, Wausau; and one sister, Marlene Sommerfeldt, Wausau.
Besides her husband and parents, Shirley was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters-in-law.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Dan Thelen will preside. Entombment will be in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
