Shirley A. Fletcher
65, N5378 Town Hall Road, Gleason, died Friday August 5, 2005 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born February 19, 1940 in Wausau, daughter of the late William and Ann (Regge) Muenster. On April 18, 1959 she married Gordon V. Fletcher in Wausau. He survives.
Prior to her retirement, Shirley was employed as a receptionist with the Wausau Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed visiting with people and spending time with her pets. Special to her was the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. In past years, Shirley served a treasurer of the former VFW Auxiliary in Gleason.
Survivors include her husband, Gordon V. Fletcher, Gleason, a daughter, Lauri Schisel, Oshkosh, a son, Roger (Kate) Fletcher, Fitchburg, three grandchildren, Valerie and Jessica Brandt and Garrett Fletcher, one sister, Darlene (DuWayne) Toshner, Wausau.
Besides her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by a daughter, Valerie Jane.
Memorial services will 3:30 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2005 at the Gleason Lions Club. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until time of services at the Gleason Lions Club.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
