Shirley Drage

Shirley Drage 57, Lewisville, Texas, died Saturday, December 29, 2007 in Texas. She was born January 22, 1950 in Wausau, daughter of the late Maynard and Alice (Pergolski) Wiemann. On February 16, 1974 she married Dick Drage. He survives. Shirley had been employed at Sierra Insurance for 7 years as a commercial Workers Compensation underwriter in Dallas, Texas. Previous to that, she was with CNA Insurance for 16 years in both Dallas and Milwaukee. Prior to that she was with Milwaukee Insurance for two years and Wausau Insurance in both Milwaukee and Wausau for 7 A½ years. In addition, she worked at Winkelman's Dept. Store and the Wausau Public Library. She graduated from Wausau Senior High School in 1968 and attended UWMC in Wausau. Since 1996 she has had her poetry published in 40 anthologies by the National Library of Poetry, the Sparrowgrass Poetry Forum, the Poetry Guild, Noble House and the International Library of Poetry of which she had been a long standing member. She also enjoyed music, art, movies, reading and collecting stuffed animals, dolls and figurines. Survivors include her husband, Dick, Lewisville, Texas, one sister, Beverly Vicker, Bloomington, Indiana, three nieces, Laura Vicker, Kathyrn Vicker and Theresa (Drage) Ibberson, two nephews, Daniel Drage and Alan Drage, several great and great great nieces and nephews, three aunts, Irene (Pergolski) Lang, Wausau, Adeline Wiemann, Wausau and Lorraine (Wiemann) Wagner, Rhinelander. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum.
