Shirley Brandenburg
81, 1010 Grand Avenue, Wausau, died Friday May 7, 2004 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
She was born April 23, 1923 in Wausau, daughter of the late Andrew and Jennie (Pearson) Rasmussen. She married Clayton Brandenburg. He preceded her in death in 1974.
Prior to her retirement, Shirley had been employed at M & I Bank, Wausau. Shirley was a volunteer with the Red Cross, the Library and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, Wausau. She had also served as a Girl Scout Leader.
Survivors include a daughter, Andrea Anderson, Wausau, a granddaughter, Jena Eustice, Appleton and a sister, Betty Butler, Wausau.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Eustice and a sister, Ruth Lawton.
Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Weds. May 12, 2004 at First United Methodist Church Chapel, Wausau. Rev. Bernadette Bruner will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service in the church parlor.
