Sharon "Sherry" B. Wanta

Sharon "Sherry" B. Wanta, 74, Wausau, died Friday, December 12, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born September 10, 1940 in Wausau, daughter of the late Lawrence and Valeria (Zastrow) Raduechel. On July 30, 1960 she married Steven Wanta at St. Agnes Catholic Church. He survives. Sherry attended Trinity Lutheran School in Wausau. She enjoyed flowers and cherished time spent with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Steve Wanta; son, Mark (Fran) Wanta; grandchildren, Zachary and Connor Wanta; siblings, Earl (Carol) Raduechel, Elaine (Tom "Stub") Wohlfahrt, Jeanne (Peter) Gutowski, Suzanne Raduechel, Carolyn Haase and David (Anne) Raduechel, many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Zieglmeier. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2014 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. David Bruener will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau, and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
