Sharon Stead

Sharon Stead 58, Tomahawk, formerly of Hatley, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Tomahawk. She was born October 27, 1949 in Hatley, daughter of the late Earl and Margaret (Clause) Vaughn. Sharon was a loving wife to William "Bill" Stead for 38 years. They were married on June 8, 1969 in Waukegan, Ill. She was a wonderful mother to three daughters, and a proud grandmother to eight terrific grandchildren who loved her more than anything. Among her many interests, she enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas with her husband and friends and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and her two cats. Sharon was always there for anyone who needed her and she will be dearly missed. Survivors include, her husband, Bill Stead, Tomahawk; three daughters, Karen (Robert) Lovelace, China Springs, Tex., Tracey (Brian) Justen and Denise Stead, both of Mosinee; eight grandchildren, Dustin, Jeremy, Dane, Krystal, Ricki, Kaylyn, Hunter and Gunner; three sisters, Roberta (David) Halkoski, Weston, Audrey Buchkoski, Hatley and Norma Brenden, Tomahawk; two brothers, Jerry (Chris) Vaughn, Georgia and Dale (Susan) Vaughn, Antigo; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Scott Allen Stead; two brothers, Earl Jr. and Keith Vaughn; and one sister, Jeanette Janikowski. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau.
