Sharon Nikolai
Loving mother and adored grandmother, Sharon Anne Nikolai, 68, Marshfield, formerly of Wausau, passed away on Sunday night, September 21, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Sharon was born in Wausau on February 15, 1946, to John and Sylvia (Schilling) Rogan.
She graduated from Newman High School in 1964, where she sang in the Newman chorus. Her voice, which she lent at weddings, Catholic Masses, and eventually her own grandchildren's cribs, was absolutely beautiful.
She had various careers, including working as a Psychology Technician and a Nursing Assistant. Her most admirable of accomplishments though was being an amazing mother and grandmother. She was a charitable soul, and possessed utmost support to her family. She was one to never stop fighting. No matter what the problem was, physical, financial, emotional, or mental, Sharon was the spirit of courageous persistence.
Sharon is survived by her son, Dr. Cody Allen-Rogan Nikolai, his wife Jade (Van Wyhe); her mother, Sylvia Rogan; twelve grandchildren, Michaela, Garrett, Jacob, Calista, Madeline, Hannah, Caiden, Caleb, Matthias, Beckett, Ava, and Brenden; her sister, Susan Bornbach; and her cat, Scout.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Rogan Sr. and two brothers, John Rogan Jr. and Charles Rogan.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2014 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Oratory, 325 Grand Avenue, Wausau. Rev. Aaron Huberfeld will preside.
