Sharon M. Landowski

May 9, 1950 — December 29, 2022

Sharon M. Landowski, 72, Edgar, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

She was born May 9, 1950, in Marathon, daughter of the late Marvin and Lavila (Schulz) Baumann.  Some may say Sharon was born to be a caregiver, as she spent her life serving the elderly, even inviting residents into her home to provide the love and care she so easily gave.

Sharon relished visiting her family and friends, and her vivacious laugh and feisty personality ensured all enjoyed her company. She often commented about how much she worried, and boy, did she worry about her children and grandchildren. Sharon’s worry, though, was cloaked in her unwavering love and support for and of them.

Her hobbies and interests were many, but those who loved her remember her most for the beautiful cadence of her singing voice, her love of reading, and collecting and cooking new recipes.

Her family found a quote Sharon wrote over 20 years ago when asked what words of wisdom she would give to others. Sharon wrote, “How would you want to be remembered if you die? Give it your best – you only live once!”

And, her family and friends can rest in the knowledge that, above all, Sharon lived.

Survivors include her children, Michelle (Kevin) Demeyer, Joseph (Ryan) Landowski and Christopher (Wendy) Mayer; grandchildren, Logan, Baylee, Nicholas, Allison, Lexi, Emily, Connor and Camrynn; siblings, Gary (Beverly) Baumann, Dennis Baumann, and Sandra (Arthur) Ebbinger.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lylas Baumann.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 1, 2023, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Marathon.  Rev. Jon Hadler will officiate.  Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
