Sharon A. Kufahl

Sharon A. Kufahl, 67, Wausau, died Saturday, September 21, 2013 at her home. She was born March 6, 1946 in Wausau, daughter of the late Tony and Marian (Meyer) Trojanowski. Sharon worked at Wausau Papers in Brokaw for many years until her retirement. She was an active member of The Church of St. Anne, Wausau and volunteered at many church functions. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and attending their sporting events. Sharon was also an avid collector of angels. Survivors include, one sister, Diane (Barry) Wetterneck, Wausau; one brother, Jim (JoAnn) Trojanowski, Wausau; two nephews, Matthew (Heather) Wetterneck and Tony (Kelly) Trojanowski; four nieces, Sarah (Peter) Cherchian, Lisa (Jeremy) Dodd, Jessica (Max) LaPorte and Kate (Jon) Shimel; 13 grand nieces and nephews, Kellie, Lara, Kyle, Eliza, Nora, Hannah, Jake, Alex, Samuel, Victor, Ivan, Jonah and Quinn; and her close friend, Charlotte Opper, Merrill. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one niece, Amber Trojanowski. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Alan T. Burkhardt will preside. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
