Sharon D. Kohnhorst

Sharon D. Kohnhorst, 69, Wausau, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 12, 1947 in town of Bern, daughter of the late Richard and Frances (Bacon) Kohnhorst. Sharon was a homemaker who enjoyed embroidering, country music, old Westerns and gardening especially flowers. She also enjoyed playing cards and was an avid Packers and Yankees fan. Survivors include her son, Mark Kohnhorst, Athens; significant other, Kenneth Heldt, Wausau; siblings, Mary (Bill) Kellnhoffer, Colorado, Dorothy (Frank) Eckes, Marshfield, Donald (Mary) Kohnhorst, Wausau, Bonnie Andreas, Wausau and James Kohnhorst, Athens. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Karl and Richard Jr. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2016 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens.
