Selma Fehlhaber
98, town of Berlin, died Monday, July 13, 2009 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born May 11, 1911 in the town of Scott, daughter of the late Herman and Anna (Voelz) Volz. On June 25, 1932, she married Alfred Fehlhaber at St. John Lutheran Church, town of Scott. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1996.
Selma farmed with her husband until 1967, then worked for Fromm Brothers in the ginseng gardens. Among her many interests, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and reading.
Survivors include, one daughter, Delores (Gary) Cottrell, Wausau; one son, Eugene (Marlene) Fehlhaber, town of Berlin; three grandchildren, Wayne (Renee) Cottrell, Mosinee, Jennifer and Kelly Fehlhaber, town of Berlin; two great grandchildren, Garrett and Cale Cottrell; and nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Alfred, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Allen Cottrell and an infant grandson, Roger; three sisters, Angela Winter, Theresa Bahlow and Dela Volz; and one brother, William Volz.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 16, 2009 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, town of Hamburg. Rev. Sarah Nehring will officiate. Burial will be in the Friendenshain Cemetery, town of Berlin. Friends may call Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
