Sandra Marie Thurs

Sandra Marie Thurs, 60, town of Hamburg, died Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born January 9, 1953, in Hazel Green, WI, daughter of Sylvester Altfillisch, Marathon and Holly (Werner) Zuleger, Hamburg. On November 11, 1972, she married Ivan Thurs at St. Peter Lutheran Church, town of Hamburg. He survives. Some of her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, and gardening and canning with Ivan. Sandra was an active church member and was always there to lend a helping hand to others in a time of need. She was proud of raising five wonderful girls and cherished the time she got to spend with her grandchildren. Sandra was proud of all her children's accomplishments and took great pride in the people she helped them become. Survivors include her husband, Ivan Thurs, Hamburg, her father, Sylvester Altfillisch, Marathon, her mother and step father, Holly and Werner Zuleger, Hamburg, five daughters, Michelle (Jim) Korducki, Merrill, Jen (Matt) Seliger, Hamburg, Karrie (David) Blake, Hamburg, Katie (Mike) Dymora, Merrill and Jamie (Steve) Dalton, Geff, IL, nine grandchildren, Jeremiah, Amanda, Tom, Laura, Melony, Morgan, Ian, Shilo and Kennedy. Sandra is further survived by siblings, John (Rhonda) Altfillisch, Hamburg, Chuck (Beth) Altfillisch, Marathon, Tim (Edee) Zuleger, Marathon, Kris (Cindy) Zuleger, Hamburg, her mother and father-in-law, Alladine and Wilmer Thurs, Hamburg, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 280 County Road A, town of Hamburg. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and again on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
