Sandra A. Kohn

Sandra A. "Sandy" Kohn 68, 515 Maple Ridge Road, Berlin, formerly of Wausau died Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond Du Lac. She was born October 3, 1939 in Wausau, daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Peterson) Jenson. On April 2, 1960 she married Bernard "Bernie" Kohn in Wausau. He survives. For many years Sandy worked as a clerical assistant for the General Telephone Co., the City Hall, Wausau Homes and the Wausau Medical Center. Some of her favorite pastimes included doing crewel work, being a member of the town of Maine Homemakers Club, tending to her house plants, volunteering for the United Way and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren's many activities. Survivors include her husband, Bernard "Bernie" Kohn, Berlin, two children, Karen (Jeffrey) Casey, Rib Mountain and Kurt (Laura) Kohn, Weston, four grandchildren, Brooke and Brittani Schmidt and Tyler and Morgan Kohn, two step grandchildren, Michael and Jeffrey Casey Jr., her siblings, Doris (Michael) Pierzchalski, Allenton, Robert (Jackie) Jenson, New Berlin, Wayne Jenson, Burlington and Roger (Shirley) Jenson, Coarse Gold, California, along with many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Sandy's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the Peterson/ Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Theda Clark Regional Medical Center.
