Sandra (Koerner) Fritsche
63, 4118 Briarwood Avenue, Wausau, died Thursday, January 1, 2009, surrounded by her children, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital after a short battle with cancer.
She was born November 23, 1945 in Appleton, daughter of the late Felix and Mary Ann (Malchow) Koerner. On April 20, 1990, she married Alan Fritsche in Wausau. Alan preceded her in death on March 7, 2005.
Sandra worked as an Estimator at Wilson-Hurd Mfg. for 26 years. She loved fishing, camping, hiking, gardening and travel. However, spending time with her grandchildren brought her greatest joy. She was loved deeply by her family and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include, her daughter, Deborah Richards, Rib Mountain; her son, Richard (Fiancee Dianah Denman) Bogan, Kenosha; two step-sons, Scott Fritsche, Wausau and Jason (Kristin) Fritsche, Rib Mountain; one step-daughter, Karla (Dave) Kerchefski, Mosinee; eleven grandchildren, Jonica, Jensen and Jayden Richards, Kaylee and Derrick Bogan; Alexander and Nathaniel Fritsche, Spencer and Alyssa Fritsche, Paul and Kyrie Kerchefski; one brother, Ken (Vicki) Koerner, Neenah; and nieces Kendra and Kara; special friends, Betty and Molly Peters, Wausau; and Sue Westergaard, Wausau.
Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Deacon Robert Anderson will officiate. Friends may call Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the doctors at U-W Cancer Center and the Oncology Unit as Aspirus Wausau Hospital for all of their loving care.
