Samson V. Thao

Samson V. Thao, age 75, passed away on February 22, 2026 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born on June 15, 1950, in Laos to Yong Thao and Shoua Her.

A devoted man of faith, Samson served as a pastor in California in the early 1990's and remained strong in his faith in God throughout his life.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family.

Samson was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth X. Thao, and two sons, Kong and Seth.

He is survived by his children: Panhia, Long, Xeng, Sher, Chang, Vang, Chua, Zer, Lei, Susan, Tang, and Malinda.

Funeral services will be held at the Peterson/ Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau on Saturday, March 14, 2026 (9am-10pm), Sunday, March 15 (9am-7pm), and Monday, March 16, 2026 (9am-11am).

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
