Sally L. Zibton

Sally L. Zibton, 98, Wausau, died Monday January 13, 2014 at Wellington Place, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born July 16, 1915, in Chicago, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Pilarski) Wieczorkowski. On November 6, 1937, she married Conrad Zibton, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Chicago. He preceded her in death August 15, 2004. Sally had been employed for 20 years at Peoples Gas Company in Chicago. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, reading and playing cards. Special to her was the time she spent with her family. Survivors include two sons, David (Donna) Zibton, Wausau and Paul Zibton, Palm Springs, Calif., three grandchildren, Maureen (Michael) Cyrs, Belvidere, Ill., Craig (Paula) Zibton, Waukesha and Jeffrey (Kelly) Zibton, Kronenwetter; nine great-grandchildren, Matthew, Anne, Joseph, Mary Clare & Andrew Cyrs; Ben & Megan Zibton and Dawson & Morgan Zibton and one sister-in-law, Harriet Berent, Colorado. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Pisarek and Eleanor Wieczorkowski. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday January 16, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Michael Catholic Church or Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
