Sallee Krueger

A much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, Sallee Rae (Litzer) Krueger passed away peacefully, 71, at the family farm in the town of Hewitt on Monday July 23rd 2018. Sallee is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gary L Krueger, her sons; Jason Krueger of Town of Hewitt, and Jeremy (Amy) Krueger of Merrill, her daughter; Trudi (David) Sturzenegger of Town of Hewitt, her grandson; Levi Sturzenegger, and her Mother Lorraine (Vercimak) Litzer of Schofield, WI. Sallee graduated from DC Everest in 1965. On June 24th, 1967 Sallee married Gary Krueger at Calvary Lutheran Church, in the Town of Pine River. In addition to her work on the family dairy farm, Sallee worked at Intercity State Bank and WovenHearts Nursing Home. Sallee was co-founder of Golden Oldies, she volunteered as a 4-H leader for many years, served for numerous years as Chief Election Inspector and Election Inspector and served a number of years on the Church Council at Calvary Lutheran Church. Some of her hobbies included fishing, cross-stitch, crafts, playing cards, and visiting with loved ones. Sallee was a wonderful chef and enjoyed cooking immensely. Sallee was the first of six children, born in Wausau, WI on June 5, 1947 to the late Edward R & Lorraine (Vercimak) Litzer of Schofield, WI. Sallee is survived by sisters; Carlo (William M) Ferge of Marshfield, and Patricia (Fred) Ohlmann of Merrill, and brothers; Edward J (Dori) Litzer of Salem OR, Aladin (Carrie) Litzer of Schofield, and Cabot (Gloria) Litzer of Marathon, many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Sallee was preceded in death by her father, Edward R Litzer (1980). Sallee cared greatly for her extended family. Sallee and her family often welcomed many family and friends for special meals and social gatherings at their farm. All who visited the farm felt love and care from Sallee. The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the Ascension Home Hospice Staff that came to the farm to care for Sallee at the end of her life. Sallee was a truly wonderful person and will be missed by many. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28th, 2018 at Calvary Lutheran Church; N365 Cain Creek Rd, Merrill, WI 54452, in the Town of Pine River. Visitation will be at 10:00; followed by noon service. Chaplain Mark Lewis - Ascension Hospice will officiate. In accordance with Sallee's wishes, a private interment will be held at Trinity Cemetery at a later date. The Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
