Ryan N. Schultz, 53, gained his heavenly wings on March 17, 2025. He ran his race battling MS for 20 years, and his race is won.
He was born November 10, 1971, in Wausau, son of Sharon Schultz and the late Harold Schultz.
He loved life to the fullest enjoying his favorite past times of racing bomber cars at State Park Speedway and Tomahawk Speedway, snowmobiling and hunting with his uncle Joe where he bagged many deer.
He especially loved working at his aunt Annie’s and uncle Joe’s farm during the summers in his youth.
Survivors include his mother, Sharon, sister, Robin Schultz, brother, Rick Schultz, daughter, Ashley Cook, stepson, Seth Granger, niece, Katie Schultz, special friend, Pam Cook and a grandson Leighton, due in June. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and his fur companion Freddie and nephew, Tyler.
Ryan was a gentle soul who dealt with his fate with grace and never complained. He will be dearly missed by his family and all who loved him. Fly high Ryan. We will see you on the other side.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 600 Stevens Drive, Wausau. The Rev. Eric Hauan will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, town of Maine. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
